What I love about shooting here.
"The oak canopy alone is worth it. Just try to get a bad photo here."
The oak canopy at the ceremony space is the photo machine — that 4pm processional with dappled light through the leaves is iconic. Build your timeline so ceremony lands in that window.
Blue hour at the garden arch (about 20 minutes after sunset) is criminally underused. Once you're back from cocktail hour, I'll pull you for 5 minutes of arch portraits while the sky is still purple.
The barn reception is a different lighting environment — warm string lights, blue/purple uplighting. We adjust gear between the natural-light ceremony and the indoor party. First dance under those string lights is magic.
Questions about Addison Grove weddings.
How long are weddings at Addison Grove?
Most run 6-8 hours. Austin Classic (8 hrs) or ATX 2026-2027 (6 hrs) both fit the venue's rhythm well.
What's the rain plan?
The barn handles the ceremony if weather requires — it's gorgeous and the string lights make it feel intentional, not Plan B.
Where should we do family photos?
Under the oak canopy immediately after ceremony — best light, fastest. Plan 20-25 minutes.
What's the best time for ceremony light?
3:30-4:30pm for the dappled-light processional. Earlier in winter (sun sets faster), later in summer.
Is there a getting-ready space?
Yes — separate bridal and groom's suites with natural light. We start coverage at the bridal suite.
