A Funky Journey into New Beginnings

I hope this message finds you all wrapped up in the warmth of love and laughter. It's been a while since we've had a good chat, and I owe you all a massive apology for my recent radio silence. Trust me, it's not because I've forgotten about you – quite the opposite, actually!
So, what's the deal with the quietude, you ask? Well, buckle up, because there are some seriously exciting and life-changing reasons behind it.
First things first, let me spill the beans on my recent adventures. As y’all know; Last year, I packed my cameras and traded the Texan heat for the crisp, colorful foliage of New England. This was my first official full-time Fall in Maine and holy moly, was it AWESOME! Let me tell you, capturing the magic of autumn weddings against that stunning backdrop has been an absolute dream. Not to mention the truly fabulous teams of professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with this season have been so warm, welcoming, and inviting. I do miss my vendor fam in Texas…. but these Mainers sure know how to throw a hell of a party!
But wait, there's more! In a whirlwind of excitement, I embarked on a journey of love and spontaneity with the person who holds the key to my heart. Johnny surprised me with a super sweet proposal in September (on the Congress St. Bridge in Austin!). In under three weeks, we planned and executed a magical elopement that will forever be etched in our hearts. One Saturday afternoon in October and said “I do” on an oceanside cliff as our closest friends, my parents, and my little brother looked on.
Now, here comes the big news – the one that has kept me hush-hush for a while. Drumroll, please! This funky photographer is about to become a mom! Yep, that's right – I'm feeling the kicks, experiencing the sleepless nights, and grappling with the impending adventure of mom life. It's both thrilling and a tad bit scary, but hey, isn't that what makes life so incredibly beautiful?
As I navigate through this incredible journey into parenthood, please bear with me if I've been a bit quieter on the social media front. I'm still here, still in love with capturing the magic of weddings, and still super pumped about the fantastic couples I'll be working with in 2024.
I promise, I haven't abandoned ship; I'm just sailing into uncharted waters. Balancing wedding photography with impending mom life is no small feat, but I'm determined to make it work. I'm still keeping a keen eye on the trends, soaking up inspiration, and learning all about the exciting things coming up for the next season. Who says you can't rock a camera and baby spit-up on your shirt simultaneously?
Sure, I'm a little scared. It's a whole new world for me, and I haven't taken much time away from the camera in the past few years. But deep down, I know it's going to be SO worth it. The new location, the new clients, a new circle of event professionals, a new husband, and a new baby – it's a lot to juggle, but I'm up for the challenge.
